Is it really that bad to try to live an extraordinary life? Is it ok to do what pleases me, and then figure out what god wants?
Sometimes we just try to do too much. We are always trying to make more money, be better spouses, be better parents, be better students. We always look for the extraordinary in life. We always want to belong to the extraordinary. We always want more: more attention, more recognition, more stuff, more everything. To do this, there is a need to give up the Gospel to do what we want. We break our backs to make sure we get to our jobs on time. We make sure we are on point when we are dating someone. But, then we say "God knows my heart," when it's time to do His will. Or, we try to be the "best looking" Christian in God's eyes by doing a bunch of things that we think will get up extra points later on. But, God is not looking for the extraordinary. He is looking for the ordinary. He is looking for those that are consistent in their faith toward Him. He is more pleased with those that are bearing fruit for His kingdom. How do we do this though? How do we live a meaningful life if we are just "ordinary?" Let's find out!
